SLIDIN' SLIM
Slidin' Slim is one of Northern Europe's premiere purveyors of acoustic blues. His dexterous resonator guitar playing and deep howl of a voice are reminicent of John Hammond. For his U.S. debut One Man Riot Slim teams up with some of Sweden's top blues musicians to create a real gem of punky, soulful blues.
Praise for Slidin' Slim
“Take Watermelon Slim, and mix in some Ash Grunwald with a bit of Soul of John Black, and you are somewhere in the area of Slidin’ Slim. He slides, he gets lowdown, he hill stomps, he syncopates in a dance vibe. The guy sounds so legit it is unreal, and yet he comes from Sweden, and used to be in a punk band? When we hail the Blues as global, this guy rubber stamps what we are (talking) on about. The guy is wailing from his soul…plaintive and deeply moving."
– Billy Hutchison, Blues Matters! (UK)
"Slim sings with authority through the whole album...and delivers guitar playing that is genuine, faithful, and above all - dirty and full of life."
- Jefferson Blues Magazine
"(Slim) has created a unique sound with this album that needs no adjusting. He is the real deal."
- In Tune Magazine
