 FANCY TRASH

Fancy Trash are likely the only band in America to refer to themselves as "spazzy, folk-tinged, acoustic indie-rock." That description may sound ridiculous...until you hear them. With two parts beautiful understatement, and three parts aggresive sonic exploration, they are as impressive live as they are on record.

Their latest release, Three Cheers For The Cheated finds the band arriving at their true voice. The album was recorded entirely in the band's Brave Tiger studio and showcases lead singer Dave Houghton's aching tenor and insightful lyrics.

Praise for Fancy Trash

"With their semicountrified, punk-influenced music that recalls Neil Young, Clem Snide and The Flaming Lips, (Fancy Trash) don't simply pull off acoustic trio rock, they make it seem natural."
- Sean Glennon, The Boston Globe

"Fancy Trash is impressive because they rock without electricity and Houghton is a brilliant front man and lyricist whose warble brings to mind Bright Eyes or Gordon Gano from the Violent Femmes."
- Niagara Gazette

"Fancy Trash had done their trademark Clark Kent/phone booth/Superman routine, the point during each gig where they push beyond obvious influences, bust out of the confines of Americana, and become something else entirely. Something to reckon with."
- Jon Reed
